Introduction Adventure under canvas reaches out beyond the normal imagination to take us back in tim e where the senses are heightened by the wild, wide open spaces of Africa, the silence of the bush and the lives of the animals as they go about their daily routines. All of these leads to a heightened sense of romance, excitement and ambience only to be found under canvas in the wilds of Africa . Adventure under canvas has the advantage of being able to move with the animals as they move from one grazing area to another. Safariline offers the ul tim ate in luxury mobile camping with large and spacious ensuite tents complete with double bed, fresh linens, separate W.C. and “Al Fresco” bucket showers. This is how Africa should be- no electricity and no running water but plenty of adventure, excitement, relaxation and camaraderie. Our food is prepared by your own chef who travels with the camp and who will prepare on traditional log fires a Pan African menu or traditional “choma” meals to be served at your own exclusive table lantern lit. Itinerary 8 Days Masai Mara via Nakuru (SLA/LM/001) Areas of Interest : Lake Nakuru , Masai Mara Game Reserve, Activity : Wildlife, Bird Watching, Scenery, Photography, Culture and Ethnic, Country : Kenya Day 1 The journey begins today as we leave for the airport to connect with the international flight to Kenya . Waiting for us at Jomo Kenyatta Airport , Nairobi will be a Masai warrior dressed in traditional regalia to meet, greet, assist and transfer us to the Norfolk Hotel full of history, for a welcome rest. Day 2 A day of excursions in Nairobi beginning with a city tour, a visit to David Sheldrick Sanctuary to adopt baby Elephant, then onto the Giraffe Centre where we feed the endangered Rothschild Giraffe and then tim ely the Karen Blixen Museum , former home of the famous author of “Out of Africa. Lunch will be at Utamaduni Craft Centre where African Craft are displayed. This evening we will be entertained at Carnivore Restaurant for dinner, the best barbeque experience in Africa . The truck with luxury camping equipments and crews will depart on this day to set up the camp ready for our arrival next day. Day 3 Scenic drive via the Great Rift Valley view point to Lake Nakuru National Park which is a birds paradise, has plenty of animals not to mentioned the endangered Black and White Rhinos. We will arrive at the luxury mobile campsite in tim e for lunch. There will be an afternoon game drive in the park in search of the animals, an excellent way to start our safari. Return to the luxury camp for dinner and overnight rest. Day 4 We awaken to the sounds of animals and begin the day with early morning and afternoon game drives with Lake Nakuru covered with Flamingos on the background. Meals will be served at the luxury camp dinning mesh. Day 5 Witness the stunning views of the Great Rift Valley as we drive to the legendary unspoilt savannah of the Masai Mara. This reserved was named the “7 th wonder of the world” recently. Here we will find the largest population of Lions in Africa together with many plain games. Accommodation will be in a luxury mobile camp where meals will be served at the dinning mesh. Many special events are planned here including sundowners, walks, visits to Masai villages and local schools. Day 6 & day 7 Another two days at the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, home to an incredible variety of wildlife. The Mara is the preserve of the “big Five” and the nomadic Masai tribe, where the unique balance between man, beast and wilderness co-exist in harmony. Late afternoon game drive will be available with bush breakfast/lunch daily. Day 8 Today we leave for the modern city of Nairobi for farewell diner at Tamarind restaurant renowned for its fresh sea food. Later we will proceed to the airport to connect with the outboard flight. COST US$3440.00 per person sharing year round
